The Last Bookstore

The Last Bookstore

The Last Bookstore houses books that take you on a journey: literally. Amidst rows and rows of old books, used books, borrowed books, blue books, a staircase leads you up to the second level of the Last Bookstore, which is a Labyrinth into a more literary lifestyle. Find yourself immersed in words while you walk through tunnels created out of books that lead into secret rooms, dollar deals, and reading corners. With so much space, there’s always a place to crack open the covers of a dusty book that hasn’t been opened in ten years, or a twenty year old National Geographic, and find yourself enamored with the wonder of great storytelling in what can only be described as a whimsical Alice in Wonderland type maze of rooms and ornate book decor that go on and on. You could spend hours in here and still continue to get lost, and after a long day of book shopping, the Last Bookstore helms a creative community in the heart of Downtown through free events, concerts, and readings. Be sure to buy a book or two to continue to support the Last Bookstore – books here are reasonably priced, you’ll have real books on your shelf outside of your Kindle to show your friends, and you’ll be helping an amazing addition to the Los Angeles community.
