The Bazaar

If you’re looking to bring in a special occassion or add a little spice to your usual diet of Trader Joe’s bagged pastas (guilty), Jose Andres’s Bazaar is the first place to splurge and break out some twenties for one some of the most insane and outstanding taste sensations we’ve ever experienced. Upon entering, your host will walk you through decorated themed rooms, colorful, whimsical, and works of art in their own that will delight your senses and whet your palate. Bazaar’s scrumptious small plates consist of everything from traditional tapas like Papas Canarias, to modern tapas for the more adventurous such as the Caprese salad with liquid mozzarella and the Philly Cheesesteak made with air bread. A beverage cart with liquid nitrogen may pass your way, in which case, you should definitely sample the liquid nitrogen Caipirinha, which will be made before your very eyes in a Disney-like magical puff of smoke with a frozen texture that will make you feel you’re eating a better-than margarita flavored cold cloud of perfection. Once you finish your meal, your host will help you advance to the Patisserie, our very favorite part of the meal, which takes place in a mad tea party of furry princess chairs and twisted chandeliers. The Nitro Coconut Floating Island takes advantage of what the restaurant does best, and even if you’re not a coconut person, you’ll walk away spoiled by this sweet cold mountain for the rest of your life.
